What is Pulpit Ponderings? Very simply, it is your opportunity to provide a thought or question you might have over the text that is going to be used for an upcoming sermon. To be clear, it is not a review of a previous sermon. It is preparation for a future sermon. The idea is for you to read over the text that is going to be used and then provide a thought or question that I can consider and possibly use in preparing a sermon. My goal is that this might be a means to make the sermon more informative of the truth of God’s word and transformative to the life of the congregation. I cannot give a guarantee that your input will be specifically addressed in the sermon as it might be tangential to the context of the passage or the development of the sermon’s theme. It might be something that I can address with a private response if there is time. But your input is invited and will be helpful in my preparations.
